Winery

Viewed from the outside, our winery displays a singular design that has been fully integrated into the magnificent landscape in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria mountains.

Wood has been used as the main feature and a nexus between Nature and the building, the original work on which was designed by Enrique Muga. The goal was to achieve balance between the aesthetically pleasing and sustainability, between rationality and expressiveness.

Laminated radiata pine was used for the building interior and alerce for the exterior, which is far more resistant to moisture due to its high resin content. Using this wood enabled the building to be perfectly integrated into its surroundings.

The winery has two barrel rooms, a social and administrative area, and an indoor space that enables the development of technological improvements in the production process, as well as a more exhaustive quality control process on the wines.

It is a winery that courageously reflects the knowledge and respect for the land that defines the wines we produce at Bodegas Fos.
